September Meeting Recap 2013
We thank the City of Atlantis, the Village of Golf and the Town's of Gulf
Stream, Hypoluxo, Lake Clarke Shores, Manalapan, Ocean Ridge and South Palm
Beach for hosting the League meetings at the Atlantis Country Club.
Board Meeting The Board approved ChildNet, Respect of
Florida, Weiss, Serota, Helfman, Pastoriza, Cole & Boniske and Bergeron
Emergency Services assocaite member applications.
Executive Director Richard Radcliffe's contract was approved for another year.
The board heard committee reports from: the FEC Task Force, Code Enforcement
Task Force, Homeless Advisory Board, Envrionmental Committee, Finance,
Taxation & Personnel Committee, Energym Environmental & Natural
Resources Committee and Growth Manahement & Economic Resources Committee.
Executive Director Richard Radcliffe informed everyone to mark their calendar
for the Legislative Roundtable being held on November 20th at the Atlantis
Country Club. He stated that the roundtable will begin at 10 and there will be
a lunch that follows. RSVP is required for both. He thanked everyone who
attended the Mayor's Literacy Lunch on Wednesday saying "it was the first
time all 38 municipalities were present" and reminded the municipalities
that October 3rd is the reading day for Otis. Mr. Radcliffe concluded by
informing the board that the Sober House committee is working closely with
Delray Beach to write a letter that will be sent to Govenor Scott and CFO Jeff
Atwater.
General Membership Altantis Mayor Michael Dahlgren
welcomed the membership to the Atlantis Country Club and introduced his fellow
sponsors: Golf, Gulf Stream, Hypoluxo, Lake Clarke Shores, Manalapan, Ocean
Ridge and South Palm Beach.
Our featured speaker was Gary Hines of the Business Development Board,
who gave and update on the economic development in Palm Beach County.
League Counsel Trela White updated us on pertinent legal issues (for full

Next month we will be at the North Palm Beach Country Club.
The meetings will be hosted by the Village of North Palm Beach.
