Palm Beach County League of Cities

We thank the Village of Royal Palm Beach for hosting the League meetings this month.

Board Meeting The Board voted "No Objection" to the proposed changes to the Countywide Petroleum Contamination and Pollutant Storage Tank System Ordinances.

The board voted to recommend Vice Mayor Scott Maxwell of Lake Worth, Mayor Susan Haynie of Boca Raton as regulars and Commissioner Lisa Tropepe as an alternate to the FLC Board of Directors.

The board appointed Councilmember Jerry Beaver of Haverhill to serve on the Citizens Committee on Airport Noise; Councilmember Jason Haselkorn of Juno Beach to serve on the Water Resource Taske Force and Councilmember Micheal Jawdy of Glen Ridge to serve on the C-51 Governance and Finance Workgrup.

Executive Director Richard Radcliffe informed the baord that League past president and former mayor of Delray Beach Leon Weekes had passed away. President Wilson asked for a moment of silence.


General Membership County Commssioner Jess Santamaria welcomed the membership to his district and to the Village of Royal Palm Beach.

President Wilson recognized all the League's past president's in attendance.

Our featured speakers were Steve Bordelon and Mike Butler from PBC ISS who provided a technology update and Jupiter Police Chief Frank Kitzerow informed the membership on the LEX System.

Executive Director Richard Radcliffe reminded everyone that rsvp is required for the July meeting in Juno Beach.

Next month we will be at the FPL Headquarters in Jno Beach on July 23rd. RSVP is required. RSVP deadline is July 16th.
