We thank The Village of Royal Palm Beach for hosting the League at their Cultural Center.

Board Meeting The Board approved the Associate membership applications of Richard Pinsky, Jackie Griese and Marcel Summermatter.  Welcome to the League!

The Board selected President Vice Mayor Scott Maxwell, City of Lake Worth; Deputy Mayor Susan Haynie, City of Boca Raton and Commissioner Lisa Tropepe, Town of Palm Beach Shores to be the League’s Nominations to the Florida League of Cities Board of Directors
The Board made an appointment to the County/Regional Committees: Councilman Jonathan Pearce of Greenacres and Councilmember David Levy of Palm Beach Gardens were appointed to the alternate seats on the Water Resource Task Force.

Committee Reports: The board heard reports from Mike Mullaugh on the Environmental Committee/ FEMA Task Force, Lisa Tropepe on the ITE Committee, Bill Thrasher on the IG Budget Committee, Wendy Harrison on the Palm Tran Service Board and President Scott Maxwell On the National League of Cities Small Cities.

Executive Director Richard Radcliffe reminded everyone to register for the Florida League of Cities Annual Conference in Orlando in August and to save the date of August 17th for the Gold Coast Breakfast, which the Palm Beach County League will be hosting this year.

General Membership Royal Palm Beach’s Mayor Matty Mattiolo welcomed the membership to their Cultural Center.

Our featured speaker was Julie Houston Trieste, PR Specialist for the Port of Palm Beach on Port of Palm Beach Expansion.

Next month we will be in the City of Lake Worth at the Lake Worth Casino Building and Beach Complex.
