We thank Wellington for hosting our February meetings at the International Polo Club Palm Beach.
Board Meeting The Board approved the Associate membership application of Shraiberg, Ferrara & Landau, P.A..  Welcome to the League!

The Board appointed Delray Beach Deputy Vice Mayor Angeleta Gray to fill the Board of Directors Large City Vacancy left by retired Delray Beach Manager David Harden.

The Board made several appointments to the County/Regional Committees: Councilmember Jeff Hmara of Royal Palm Beach was appointed to the vacant regular seat on the Water Resource Task Force; Patrick Painter, City of West Palm Beach Environmental Resources Manager, was appointed to the Water Resource Task Force Technical Group and Riviera Beach City Manager Ruth Jones was appointed to the Fire Rescue Level of Service Committee. Congratulations to the appointees.

Committee Reports were heard from the Education, Nominating, Scholarship and Transportation Committees.

Executive Director Richard Radcliffe informed the municipalities that the Gas Tax maps are available for review. Mr. Radcliffe attend a forum along with Vice President Martha Webster regarding community violence. He would like anyone who will be attending the Fly-In in DC and/or Palm Beach County Day to notify him. Legislative Action Days are March 26-27.

General Membership  Wellington's Mayor Bob Margolis welcomed us to the International Polo Club Palm Beach. County Commissioner Jess Santamaria, whose district includes Wellington, was present.

Our featured speakers were Josh Long of Gunster, P.A.; Jeff Brophy of Land Design South and Don Herring of Cotleur & Hearing gave a presentation about Collaboration for Efficiencies & Best Practices.

League Counsel Trela White updated us on pertinent legal issues (for full report go to our News page).  The League is seeking hosts for our 2013 monthly meetings. 

Next month we meet at the St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Highland Beach.
